I have a love affair with coffee. Can’t help it….for the long time devotees of Goneshopping.ca, you probably remember the coffee soy candles that we used to sell. The smell of coffee everywhere – ah…….
As I get older and wiser, I graduated from grind coffee beans to roasting my own coffee beans that I get from Merchants of Green Bean then grinding it in a burr grinder.
Now I have a Jura machine at the house and the cottage for espresso/ Americano; a portable insulated cold brewer ( one of Oprah’s favourite things) for a less acidic sweet refreshing coffee to sip all day long and Nespresso for decaf ( something happened once I ht 40 and I no longer can sleep drinking caffeine after 5pm )
As you know that most things at Goneshopping.ca is driven by what I am looking for myself. So the Asobu is my latest and greatest pick. At $60 you can’t go wrong. It makes about 3 cups so compared to what you pay at Starbucks, this is a steal.
“I love my coffee and cold brew is my new favourite thing. The gentle process ensures a smoother, creamier and sweeter taste. It does not have the typical bitterness that is associated with hot coffee. It also has more caffeine so it is like a delicious energy drink. This nifty cold brewer allows you to take your coffee and keep it cold for 24 hrs after it is done overnight. “- Jacqui Meiers
